~ what.is.this.about? ~

Parabolic Visions is the moniker I created for my ideas. This website is a place for me to put any ideas that I believe have some creative merit. My ideabook, the.conscious.conspectus, is probably the key point in all of it, now. In running.deeper, I will put any ramblings or otherwise inconsistent speeches pertaining to subjects that I feel are important. In media, any music I might be involved in, videos of interesting things we've recorded, or photos of artwork and the like will be compiled. And inspiration almost speaks for itself, as it will be a launching point for all of the incredible things that have inspired me at one point or another to do something with my life. Parabolic Visions is a sounding board for anything and everything that I find important.

~ a.brief.history ~

When I first started doing this site back in (I'm estimating) 2006 or so, my plans for it were incredibly optimistic and ambitious, to say the least. It was supposed to be the start of an artistic collaboration amongst a group of friends, around 4 of us or so, with myself spearheading the whole thing. We would all pass bits of creativity between one another, each one of us adding his own perspective to an idea, and eventually have something original and inspiring to show for it.

Unfortunately, I underestimated just how difficult it would be for all of us to get together on things. With our busy schedules and a sizeable distance between each of us, along with a few strong personal situations that arose over time, the original idea behind Parabolic Visions was fairly quickly lost.

After some time, I realized there might really be something to my ideabook entries, as they'd been recieving a lot of praise from friends and acquaintances. I eventually decided Myspace and the like were too informal to really make a respectable portfolio, and so I went back to Parabolic Visions as the new home for my projects.

There's really not a whole lot to say after that. The site went through a lot of changes, evolving from a very nice blog setup into the more portfolio driven board you see now. In the future I'm quite certain the site will evolve drastically several times more, undoubtedly involving numerous more complete redesigns from scratch. But for the moment, it's just going to be maintained and improved as necessary.

I hope you find some of the stuff here of interest. I've worked hard to remove anything unnecessarily adolescent in perspective, leaving only what I hope is meaningful material, certainly all of it heartfelt. Feel free to contact me for whatever reasons you see fit. I post these things because I really do love hearing what you think of them, be it pro or con.
